Position: Cost Estimator / Estimation Engineer
Key Responsibilities
ā¢ Review project drawings, BOQs, specifications, scope of work, and client requirements.
ā¢ Prepare detailed costing sheets for exhibitions, events, booths, branding, signage, fabrication, fit-out, and related works.
ā¢ Prepare and verify BOQs based on drawings and project requirements.
ā¢ Calculate quantities for materials, fabrication, installation, transportation, manpower, equipment, and other project requirements.
ā¢ Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, fabricators, and service providers.
ā¢ Prepare detailed material, labor, equipment, transportation, installation, and subcontracting cost breakdowns.
ā¢ Apply appropriate markup, overhead, profit margin, contingency, and other commercial allowances.
ā¢ Prepare final quotation/pricing sheets for submission to the Sales or Commercial Team.
ā¢ Coordinate with Sales, Design, Production, Procurement, and Project Teams to clarify project requirements.
Technical Knowledge
Candidates should have knowledge of:
ā¢ Digital printing & graphics
ā¢ MDF, plywood, acrylic, aluminum, PVC, and other fabrication materials
ā¢ Lighting & electrical works
ā¢ Carpentry & metal fabrication
Qualifications & Experience
š Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
š¼ 3ā5 years of relevant experience in:
Estimation & Costing
Events & Exhibitions
Signage & Advertising
Fabrication
Interior Fit-Out
Branding
Retail Displays
Digital Printing
Temporary Structures
š» Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and costing spreadsheets.
š Ability to read and understand technical drawings, BOQs, layouts, and specifications.
