Payroll Officer

Job Location : Dubai, UAE

Key Responsibilities :

• Process the end-to-end monthly payroll cycle accurately and within agreed deadlines
• Ensure payroll practices comply with applicable labour law, statutory requirements, and company policy
• Verify new joiners, movers, and leavers, confirming complete documentation before payroll input
• Apply salary changes, allowances, deductions, and benefit entitlements correctly and on schedule
• Maintain and update the HRIS, ensuring employee records remain accurate and audit-ready
• Safeguard the accuracy of payroll-linked data across benefits, deductions, and entitlements
• Maintain organised HR records and leave balances across all locations
• Prepare and review payroll reports, securing required approvals ahead of submission to the Accounting team
• Conduct payroll reconciliation covering headcount validation, general ledger, and bank statements
• Investigate and resolve variances, escalating exceptions where required
• Audit and process time, attendance, and leave records ahead of each payroll cycle
• Ensure leave accruals and balances are correctly reflected in the system
• Calculate and process final settlements for departing employees, ensuring accuracy and timely payment
• Coordinate with relevant teams to close out all payroll-related obligations at exit
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries on payroll, attendance, and HRIS matters, resolving issues with discretion and professionalism
• Analyse HR and payroll data to identify trends and recommend process improvements
• Support wider People & Culture initiatives and projects as required

Job Details :

• Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing and HRIS administration, ideally within hospitality or a multi-site environment
• Strong working knowledge of labour law, payroll regulations, and financial reconciliation principles
• Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage high-volume, deadline-driven cycles without compromising accuracy
• Confident handling confidential information with integrity and discretion
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in HR/payroll systems and MS Excel
• Clear communicator, comfortable working across People & Culture, Finance, and operational teams
