An opportunity has arisen for a Aesthetician to join the team of Talise Spa in Jumeirah Al Qasr.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
To assist in the smooth and efficient operation of the spa area.
To report to work punctually 10 minutes before your shift in proper uniform.
To provide a courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service at all times, following Talise Spas Standards of Performance.
To have a full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct and demonstrate tasks to sub ordinates to the standard set. Please note that Master Task Lists are reviewed and changed on a regular basis reflecting change in trends, guest expectations and operating philosophies.
To be entirely flexible and adapt to rotate within the different sub departments of Spa or any other Department of the hotel as assigned.
To ensure that all Aesthetic/Spa treatments carried out in the spa are in line with agreed Talise Spa protocols.
To be fully conversant with all services and facilities offered by the hotel.
To perform opening and closing procedures established for the Place of Work as assigned.
To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of spa services and products and the ability to up sell alternatives.
To ensure that the Place of Work and surrounding area is kept clean and always organized.
To monitor operating supplies and reduce spoilage and wastage.
To handle guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to supervisors if no immediate solution can be found and assure follow up with guests.
To attend training sessions and meeting as and when required · To allocate duties to subordinate staff.
To inspect staff & equipment.
Communication of staff problems and dealing with difficult staff.
Must be able to work with various groups of people.
To make weekly duty roster for therapists and receptionists.
To control and train each treatment procedure as per standard procedure.
Must ensure that all areas are always kept clean.
Must ensure that the linen used is changed after every treatment and that the room is reset for next treatment.
Must ensure that the therapists adhere to appointment timings.
Monitor status of all equipment and notify the Assistant Manager if there are any maintenance or repair needs. Promptly record equipment issues in the logbook i.e. Fixtures missing etc and notify the spa maintenance personnel.
Ensure that the therapists restock professional products in designated treatment room by completing the stock order sheet to ensure that the rooms are fully stocked.
Promote events and promotions to all guests.
Responsible for achieving daily sales targets and contributing to monthly spa team target.
To perform professional massage service to guests as and when required.
To ensure the hotel’s Employee Handbook is read and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel’s rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety
To comply with local legislation a required.
To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the hotel.
To be flexible in the job function and perform any other reasonable duties and assigned.
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Minimum High School graduate
Completed state required therapy anatomy and physiology course or an internationally recognized therapy qualification.
Ability to communicate fluently in the primary language of the workplace.
At least 3 years’ service experience in a 5-star spa.
Extensive knowledge in Anatomy and physiology.
Good knowledge of English and be able to speak, write and understand.
Qualification in additional Alternative therapies
CIBTAC, ITEC, CIDESCO certificate is an advantage.
Able to operate non-DHA facial machines.
2 years’ service experience in a 5-star spa
