The Division of Science at NYU Abu Dhabi is searching for accomplished faculty to conduct research and teach the next generation of global thinkers.
You are invited to apply for a tenured or tenure-track faculty position in Mathematics. Available openings are at the Assistant, Associate and Full Professor ranks. As part of a major multi-year growth plan and to support the launch of a Master’s program in Interdisciplinary Data Science and AI, the Mathematics Program at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications in all areas of mathematics.
We are especially interested in candidates whose research connect to theoretical foundations of machine learning, data science, or related fields, particularly those that align with or complement the program’s existing research strengths in:
Geometry, Topology and Algebra. Examples of fields of interest within the Geometry, Topology and Algebra group: quantum topology, differential geometry, algebraic topology and algebraic geometry.
Probability Theory and Statistical Mechanics. Examples of fields of interest within the Probability Theory and Statistical Mechanics group: high dimensional probability, Euclidean and conformal field theory, Random matrices and free probability, Markov chains and stochastic processes.
Analysis, PDEs, and Applications. Examples of fields of interest within the Analysis, PDEs, and Applications group: Analysis of partial differential equations, fluid dynamics, inverse problems, dynamical systems, optimal transport, spectral theory, singularity formation, scattering, long time dynamics.
Exceptional candidates in all fields of mathematics will be considered. NYUAD is strongly committed to building a diverse and inclusive academic community. We strongly encourage applications from women and underrepresented groups.
Successful candidates are expected to teach and pursue research at NYUAD. A Ph.D. in mathematics or other related field is required.
Qualifications:
This position requires a Ph.D. in Mathematics or other related fields.
We seek applicants who have, or have the potential to develop, a strong record of scholarship and have the ability to conduct and develop high-quality research.
