Health, Safety & Environment Coordinator

Location: UAE

Job Responsibilities:

• Internal Audits & Compliance: Carry out audits and inspections to ensure adherence to Quality, SOPs and food safety standards.
• Customer Complaints Management: Investigate hygiene and quality complaints, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• HACCP & Food Safety: Maintain and oversee the HACCP programme and food safety policies, ensuring certification compliance.
• Regulatory Compliance: Develop and update SOPs in line with Dubai Municipality and industry regulations.
• Liaison with Authorities: Serve as the main contact for Dubai Municipality and relevant government bodies on food safety.
• -Training & Awareness: Deliver internal training on hygiene, food safety, and emergency procedures.
• Emergency Preparedness: Coordinate emergency drills and maintain first-aid kits, fire extinguishers, and safety signage.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Track hygiene performance and prepare management reports on HACCP and quality issues.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with operations and training teams to improve service and safety standards.
• Sustainability & Waste Management: Ensure eco-friendly practices and safe handling of hazardous materials on-site.

About You:

• Certifications: HACCP and NEBOSH certifications are required.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
• Leadership: Strong people management skills with the ability to lead by example.
• Proactive Approach: Takes initiative to improve processes and uphold quality, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Tech Skills: Confident using digital tools for audits, reporting, and daily tasks.
• Communication: Clear and professional communicator, both written and verbal, in English.
• Organization: Highly organised, detail-focused, and experienced in cross-functional coordination.
