JOB SUMMARY
The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and maintaining project schedules to ensure successful project execution. This role involves preparing in-depth schedule analysis schedules and ensuring compliance with project requirements. The Planning Engineer monitors progress, identifies potential risks, and proposes corrective actions to mitigate delays.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare the project baseline schedules and ensure compliance with contractual requirements and project scope.
Highlight potential risks and critical milestones during tendering phase.
Revise and finalize the baseline from all stakeholders and ensure its approved by client and project team.
Identify key activities, critical paths, and dependencies.
Prepare weekly and monthly lookahead plans and coordinate with project managers to align the lookahead with the overall schedule.
Site to obtain actual three weeks Look Ahead.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports on project progress.
Attend weekly project progress and commercial meetings.
Conduct delay analyses and provide mitigation strategies.
Prepare and implement recovery schedules to bring the project back on track.
Adjust timelines, resource allocations, and critical path activities as needed.
Monitor the project’s critical path and its impact on timelines.
Monitor shop drawing delivery
Monitor Delivery of material
Conducting continuous site visits to monitor actual progress.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
2-5 years in planning and project management in engineering projects.
Advanced experience with planning tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Excel formulas (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formatting).
Advanced critical path analysis.
Strong understanding of project management principles.
