JOB PURPOSE:
Under the direct supervision of the maintenance manager, the objective is to manage the preventive and predictive maintenance schedules of the plant and ensure a safe working environment in compliance with the company’s safety policy and procedures.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
– Ensure that all machines and personnel are working in a safe manner and that all operating and maintenance policies, rules, and procedures are aligned with Cemex HSE standards.
– Set the preventive and predictive periodic plans and programs of maintenance and supervise the execution.
– Troubleshoot the technical breakdowns for the equipment and define the root causes.
– Plan and manage the plant shutdowns, major replacements, and upgrade projects.
– Ensure the availability of spare parts and maintenance materials in the warehouse, preparing requisitions for purchases as needed.
– Plan, prepare, and set the scope of works of the required services and external repairs. Follow up the execution and conduct the acceptance tests upon work completions.
– Control the maintenance tools, stores and equipment.
– Assign the manpower throughout the shifts to balance the department performance with the production demands.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education / Professional Experience
– Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/ electrical engineering.
– At least 7 years’ working experience in the same field as a maintenance engineer.
– English language proficiency is a must (Hindi & Arabic language will be an advantage)
Job Specific Competencies /Operational Knowledge:
– Proven knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance methodologies and technologies.
– Solid background in heavy manufacturing industry (preferred Ready-Mix).
– Solid knowledge about industrial refrigeration applications like ice plants and chillers.
– Proven experience in CMMS and ERP (preferred SAP).
– Proven understanding of control and instrumentation systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.
– Good knowledge about lean manufacturing.
Personal Attributes:
– Sustained ability to work independently as well as lead/participate in cross-functional teams.
– Proven experience as a motivated self-starter who effectively manages multiple tasks with a sense of urgency and achieves results with minimal supervision.
– Good presentation skills and able to report in a clear and concise manner.
