JOB SUMMARY :
The Construction Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction activities to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
This role involves focusing on daily site operations, workforce management, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring that all construction activities adhere to project specifications and local regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Develop and implement construction plans, schedules, and resource allocation to meet project objectives.
Oversee daily site operations, ensuring construction work is carried out efficiently, safely, and in accordance with design specifications.
Ensure proper resource allocation (materials, manpower, equipment).
Planning and scheduling of his section of the project, ensuring that work is performed in accordance with Engineering/construction drawings, specifications and contract within approved time schedule.
Monitor project budgets, control expenses, and recommend cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
Checks and approves all claims for payments from all involved sub-contractors and assure accuracy and proper contractual obligations are met.
Lead and supervise all project site staff; engineers, foremen, and labourers, ensuring clear communication, task delegation, and performance monitoring.
Ensure all construction activities meet quality control standards and comply with Abu Dhabi’s local regulations, safety guidelines, and environmental policies.
Act as the primary point of contact between clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring smooth project execution.
Coordinate with Subcontractors and consultant at each stage of project to make sure proper compliance with all technical aspects of the contract.
Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
Investigate accidents/incidents and implement corrective measures.
Prepare regular progress reports, document site activities, and maintain accurate project records for internal purposes.
Preparing method statements and constructability methods
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
Minimum of 12 years of experience in construction project management in the UAE region.
Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi’s construction laws, permits, and safety regulations.
PMP certification is a plus.
Preferred experience in Primavera P6, AutoCAD, etc.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
Valid UAE driving license preferred.
