Safety Supervisor is responsible for implementing and monitoring safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors on-site. They conduct safety inspections, coordinate safety training, and investigate incidents to prevent future occurrences.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
Conduct regular site safety inspections and risk assessments.
Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
Conduct safety training sessions for new and existing employees.
Ensure all workers are wearing proper PPE and following safety protocols.
Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and near misses; prepare detailed reports.
Monitor compliance with safety regulations and report violations to management.
Liaise with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits.
Maintain safety documentation, records, and reports.
Promote safety awareness and a safety-first culture across the site.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field.
Valid safety certification (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
Proven experience as a Safety Supervisor or similar role (typically 3+ years).
Knowledge of local safety laws and regulations.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to assess risks and implement safety measures effectively.
Strong observation and problem-solving skills.
