DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Inspecting whole vehicle including engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
• Well experienced in overhauling petrol engines & diesel engines.
• Conducting routine maintenance work aiming for vehicle functionality and longevity.
• Maintains vehicles, which includes cars, trucks, heavy vehicles like trailers and Forklifts etc.
• Performs routine and preventive maintenance including oil changes and tune-ups.
• Performing test drives, inspections, and other diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify where problems exist and determine which parts need to be repaired or replaced.
• Examines critical parts and systems using a standard checklist.
• Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical/electrical parts.
• Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job.
• Maintaining accurate records relating to vehicles model number, year of purchase, parts, and service history
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and requirements:
• Technical qualification/certification in Automobile Maintenance
• 5-8 year’s work experience as an auto mechanic.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
Competencies:
• Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
• Strong communication skills are a necessary part of this position.
• Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair.
• Excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read service and repair manuals.
