We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Diamond Assorter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sorting, grading, and assorting diamonds based on size, quality, shape, and other specifications to ensure they meet company standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Sort and assort diamonds according to size, shape, weight, color, clarity, and other parameters.
Inspect diamonds for quality, defects, or irregularities.
Use specialized equipment and tools for grading and handling diamonds.
Maintain accurate records of all sorted diamonds and their characteristics.
Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Collaborate with the quality control and sales teams to ensure proper classification.
Assist in inventory management and documentation.
Follow all safety and handling procedures for gemstones.
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in gemology is a plus.
Prior experience in gemstone sorting, grading, or jewelry manufacturing preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of gem grading standards and tools is advantageous.
Good communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions carefully.
