The Water Treatment Operator is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of water treatment facilities to ensure safe, clean, and compliant water supply. The role involves adhering to safety standards, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor water treatment plant equipment and systems.
Collect water samples and perform laboratory tests to ensure water quality standards.
Adjust chemical dosages and process controls to maintain optimal treatment conditions.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plant machinery.
Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and water quality data.
Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations at all times.
Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate repairs with maintenance teams.
Assist in training new staff and ensuring team compliance with operational procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in water treatment preferred.
Knowledge of water treatment processes, safety standards, and laboratory testing.
Ability to work in shifts and respond to emergency situations.
