The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient operation of CNC machinery, maintain quality standards, and adhere to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
Set up CNC machines, including loading tools and fixtures, and calibrate equipment for specific jobs.
Program CNC machines using G-code or CAM software based on project specifications.
Operate CNC machines to produce components with high precision and quality.
Monitor machine operation, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments to optimize performance.
Conduct quality checks on machined parts using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines.
Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
Qualifications:
Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as a CNC Operator or in a similar role.
Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and understanding CNC programming.
Knowledge of machine tools, tooling, and measurement techniques.
Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
