The Kitchen Equipment Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of kitchen appliances and equipment to ensure optimal functionality, safety, and efficiency in commercial or institutional kitchens.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, assemble, and set up kitchen equipment such as ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, mixers, and other appliances.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on kitchen machinery to prevent breakdowns.
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, performing repairs promptly to minimize downtime.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
Ensure all equipment complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to address equipment needs and upgrades.
Order and manage inventory of spare parts and tools required for repairs.
Adhere to health and safety regulations during all maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
Diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Equipment Maintenance.
Proven experience in repairing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment.
Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems related to kitchen appliances.
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
