The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. They coordinate with staff, manage schedules, and maintain high service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities are maintained to the highest cleanliness standards.
Conduct regular inspections to monitor quality and safety standards.
Train, motivate, and evaluate housekeeping staff to promote a professional and productive team.
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper stock levels and maintenance.
Implement and enforce safety and sanitation policies.
Handle guest requests, complaints, and special requirements professionally and promptly.
Prepare work schedules and assign tasks to team members.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain records of staff attendance, performance, and disciplinary actions.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or hotel management qualification preferred.
3+ years of experience in housekeeping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of cleaning procedures, safety standards, and equipment.
Ability to work under pressure and handle guest issues professionally.
