We are seeking a highly experienced Lifting Engineer (Appointed Person) to oversee and manage lifting operations within ADNOC Oil & Gas projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in rigging, lifting, piping, and shutdown procedures, with a strong focus on safety and compliance with ADNOC standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the Appointed Person for lifting operations, ensuring all lifting activities comply with ADNOC standards, safety protocols, and best industry practices.
Plan, coordinate, and supervise all lifting operations, including rigging, crane lifts, and heavy equipment handling.
Review and approve lifting plans, methodologies, and risk assessments prior to execution.
Ensure all lifting equipment is inspected, certified, and maintained according to ADNOC and international standards.
Collaborate with project engineers, safety officers, and site managers to coordinate lifting activities during shutdowns, piping works, and other critical operations.
Conduct site inspections and audits to verify compliance with safety and operational standards.
Provide technical guidance and support to site teams during lifting operations.
Maintain accurate documentation of lifting plans, certifications, and inspection records.
Lead safety briefings and toolbox talks related to lifting activities.
Investigate and report incidents or near-misses related to lifting operations and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related Engineering discipline.
10+ years of relevant experience in lifting, rigging, and heavy equipment handling, preferably within the oil & gas industry.
Proven experience in acting as the Appointed Person for lifting operations.
Valid ADNOC-approved rigging and lifting certifications.
Specialized certifications in piping, shutdown, and heavy lifting operations.
Strong knowledge of ADNOC safety standards, HSE regulations, and industry best practices.
Experience with lifting equipment inspection, maintenance, and certification processes.
Familiarity with planning and executing complex lifting and shutdown activities.
