We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Commis II - Cold Kitchen to join our culinary team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will assist in the preparation and presentation of cold dishes, ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency.

Prepare and assemble cold dishes, including salads, appetizers, and desserts, according to recipes and plating instructions
Assist in the organization and maintenance of the cold kitchen area, ensuring cleanliness and proper food storage
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely food service
Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of ingredients and supplies for the cold kitchen
Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards in all aspects of food handling and preparation
Assist in menu development and the creation of new cold dishes as directed by senior kitchen staff
Support other kitchen sections as needed during peak hours or special events

Qualifications

Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification in culinary arts
1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably with a focus on cold kitchen operations
Demonstrated proficiency in knife skills and food preparation techniques
Strong knowledge of cold kitchen operations and various cuisines
Ability to follow recipes accurately and execute proper plating techniques
Current food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe)
Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Passion for culinary arts and commitment to continuous learning and improvement
