The Occupational Therapy Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the occupational therapy department. They lead a team of occupational therapists, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, implementing treatment plans, and maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support a team of occupational therapists, allocating caseloads and managing schedules.
Develop, review, and approve individualized treatment plans for patients based on assessments.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of team members, providing coaching and professional development opportunities.
Ensure adherence to hospital policies, healthcare regulations, and safety standards.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
Conduct regular team meetings to discuss cases, updates, and best practices.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in occupational therapy and incorporate evidence-based practices.
Assist in budgeting, procurement, and resource management for the department.
Participate in quality assurance activities and audits.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Valid license or registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
Prior leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
