The Clinical Application Analyst is responsible for supporting, configuring, and maintaining clinical software applications to ensure optimal functionality and support for healthcare providers. This role involves collaborating with clinical staff to understand their needs, troubleshooting application issues, and implementing system upgrades to enhance patient care and clinical workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
System Support & Maintenance: Provide day-to-day support for clinical applications such as Electronic Health Records (EHR), Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE), and other healthcare software systems.
Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to clinical applications promptly to minimize downtime.
Implementation & Configuration: Assist in the setup, configuration, and testing of new modules or updates to clinical systems.
User Training & Support: Conduct training sessions for clinical staff on system features and best practices.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, workflows, and support activities.
Collaboration: Work closely with clinical teams, IT department, vendors, and other stakeholders to optimize system performance.
Compliance & Security: Ensure clinical applications adhere to healthcare regulations, data security, and privacy policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, Nursing, or related field.
Proven experience working with clinical information systems (EHR/EMR) and healthcare software.
Knowledge of healthcare workflows, clinical procedures, and medical terminology.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA.
