Responsibilities:
Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
Monitor ongoing work activities to prevent accidents and injuries.
Investigate incidents and accidents, preparing reports and recommending corrective actions.
Ensure all personnel are trained and aware of safety practices.
Liaise with regulatory authorities during safety audits and inspections.
Maintain safety documentation and records.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Safety Officer in construction or engineering projects.
Relevant safety certifications (NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH, etc.).
Knowledge of local safety laws and regulations.
Strong observational and communication skills.
Ability to train and motivate staff on safety practices.
Formal training in safety management is preferred.
