The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing accounting functions, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting financial analysis and reporting. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead accounting processes efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
Maintain general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures.
Assist in audits and liaise with external auditors.
Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports.
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Implement and improve internal controls and accounting policies.
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
Manage tax filings and ensure adherence to tax laws.
Assist in process improvements and automation of accounting functions.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CA, or equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
