The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company's financial records, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting audit processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements and reports.
Ensure all accounting activities are in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate ledger entries.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Support external and internal audits by preparing necessary documentation.
Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and other statutory reports.
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff as required.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA is preferred.
5+ years of proven accounting experience.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
Strong knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
