The Inclusion Assistant supports the implementation and management of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives within the organization. They work closely with individuals and teams to promote an inclusive environment, assist with accessibility efforts, and ensure compliance with relevant policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and implementing inclusion and diversity programs.
Provide support to individuals with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or from marginalized backgrounds.
Collaborate with educators, HR teams, or community organizations to promote inclusive practices.
Conduct outreach and awareness activities to foster an inclusive environment.
Support the organization of training sessions, workshops, and events related to diversity and inclusion.
Maintain records and documentation related to inclusion initiatives.
Assist in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of inclusion programs.
Provide administrative support as needed, including scheduling, correspondence, and reporting.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Human Resources, or related field.
Prior experience in social support, community services, or diversity programs is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Empathy and sensitivity towards diverse populations.
Ability to coordinate multiple activities and work collaboratively.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive practices is a plus.
