City University Ajman is looking for a proactive Facilities Engineer to manage and maintain campus facilities, ensuring a safe, efficient and well-kept environment for students, faculty and staff. This role requires hands-on supervision of maintenance operations, strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate with contractors and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organise and supervise day-to-day campus maintenance and facilities operations.
Oversee and coordinate maintenance staff, external contractors and service providers.
Conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Manage maintenance budgets, inventory control and prepare operational reports.
Provide training to staff on equipment use, safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
Respond to facility-related enquiries, incidents and complaints in a professional manner.
Recommend capital equipment purchases and supervise minor projects and upgrades.
Ideal Candidate
Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or similar.
Demonstrates proven experience in facilities management, maintenance supervision or engineering oversight.
Strong leadership and organisational abilities with a practical, solutions-focused approach.
Knowledgeable about building systems, health & safety requirements and compliance practices.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, able to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
