The MEP Inspector is responsible for ensuring the proper installation, inspection, and maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and building codes. The role involves overseeing MEP works on-site, conducting inspections, and ensuring quality and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections of MEP installations to ensure compliance with design drawings, specifications, and relevant standards.
Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and as-built documentation related to MEP systems.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other site personnel to facilitate smooth execution of MEP works.
Monitor progress and report any deviations or non-conformance issues to the project management team.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations during all inspections.
Carry out testing, commissioning, and handover activities for MEP installations.
Maintain detailed inspection reports, checklists, and documentation.
Assist in resolving technical issues related to MEP systems.
Participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as an MEP Inspector or similar role.
Knowledge of MEP systems, building codes, and safety standards.
Strong understanding of construction drawings, technical specifications, and testing procedures.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
