Key Responsibilities:
Monitor the performance of communication networks and infrastructure across construction sites and offices.
Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues related to LAN, WAN, VPN, and other network systems.
Configure, install, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points at construction sites and offices.
Ensure continuous operation of communication systems critical for remote project management and site operations.
Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and security checks on network hardware and software.
Collaborate with IT vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve network outages or performance issues.
Document network configurations, incidents, and maintenance activities.
Implement security policies to protect sensitive project data and communication channels.
Support remote connectivity solutions for construction sites, including satellite or wireless links.
Participate in disaster recovery planning and backup procedures related to network infrastructure.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a NOC or network support engineer, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and security practices.
Experience with configuring and maintaining Cisco, Juniper, or similar network equipment.
Familiarity with remote site connectivity solutions and VPN configurations.
Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues efficiently.
Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work in dynamic construction environments.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, CCNP) are preferred.
Knowledge of construction project environments and their specific communication needs is a plus
