The Construction Project Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules to ensure timely and efficient completion of construction projects. The role involves coordinating with various stakeholders to align activities, resources, and milestones, while proactively identifying and mitigating potential delays.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using software tools like Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar
Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, contractors, and clients to gather project scope and requirements
Analyze project timelines, resource allocations, and critical paths to optimize project delivery
Monitor progress against schedules and update forecasts regularly
Identify potential risks or delays and recommend corrective actions
Prepare and present progress reports and status updates to management and stakeholders
Coordinate and facilitate project meetings related to scheduling and planning
Ensure alignment of procurement, construction activities, and subcontractor schedules
Maintain accurate documentation of project timelines, changes, and approvals
Support project cost control through effective scheduling and resource management
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field
Experience in construction project planning and scheduling
Proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar)
Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and contract types
Knowledge of project management principles and best practices
