We are hiring a critical care physician's for one of our clients based in UAE.
The Physician must be able to manage life-sustaining treatments, organ support, and coordinating care for critically ill patients in an ICU.
Key duties include performing advanced procedures like intubation, leading multidisciplinary teams, making rapid decisions, and communicating with patient families. They must also participate in quality improvement, staff education, and ethical discussions, while possessing strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Management: Provide prompt assessment, resuscitation, and ongoing management of critically ill patients.
Organ Support: Oversee and manage patients requiring various forms of organ support, such as mechanical ventilation.
Advanced Procedures: Perform and supervise complex procedures like endotracheal intubation and central line placement.
Multidisciplinary Care: Lead daily rounds, coordinate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Decision-Making: Make rapid, evidence-based clinical decisions in a fast-paced and high-stakes environment.
Communication: Effectively communicate with patients' families, providing clear information and support during stressful times.
Quality & Safety: Develop and implement clinical protocols, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and promote patient safety.
Education & Training: Educate and mentor other medical staff, residents, and trainees in the ICU setting.
Ethical Considerations: Engage in discussions regarding end-of-life care and other complex ethical issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Medical Degree: Hold a medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Residency & Fellowship: Complete a residency program and specialized higher training in Intensive Care Medicine (ICM).
Board Certification: Be board-certified in Critical Care Medicine.
Licensure: Possess an active medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
Critical Thinking: Exhibit strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
Leadership & Teamwork: Demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and compassionate patient care skills.
