Resident Engineer

Job Location : Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, supervise, and manage all site engineering and inspection teams.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Review, approve, and comment on technical submittals, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Proactively resolve technical and construction challenges with innovative, cost-effective solutions.
• Ensure quality control and health & safety standards are strictly implemented.
• Conduct regular site meetings with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit progress reports, highlight risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Act as the main liaison between the client, design team, and contractors.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and project close-out phases.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in engineering and construction supervision, with at least 10 years in a Resident Engineer or senior leadership role.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale, complex infrastructure/building projects.
• In-depth knowledge of international building codes, engineering standards, and construction practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Chartered/Professional Engineer status (PE, CEng, PMP, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
