The Procurement & Logistics Officer is responsible for managing purchasing activities and coordinating logistics to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition and delivery of goods and services. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory levels, supplier relationships, and transportation processes to support operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate prices, and establish purchase agreements.
Process purchase orders, monitor delivery schedules, and ensure timely receipt of goods.
Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
Maintain accurate procurement and inventory records.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse teams to avoid shortages or excess.
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and quality standards.
Liaise with vendors, freight forwarders, and customs authorities as needed.
Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and logistics performance.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
Support audits and assist in resolving procurement or logistics issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
Knowledge of procurement procedures, supply chain management, and logistics operations.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office, and procurement software.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
