We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in HVAC systems to design, develop, and oversee the implementation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for commercial, industrial, or residential projects. The candidate will lead HVAC design projects, ensure compliance with standards, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead HVAC system design, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and air quality control.

Develop HVAC layouts, ducting, piping, and equipment selection based on project requirements.

Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.

Conduct load calculations and energy analysis to optimize HVAC system performance and efficiency.

Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc.), and environmental regulations.

Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC systems.

Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, contractors, and clients to coordinate project requirements.

Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex HVAC issues during design and field implementation.

Mentor and supervise junior mechanical engineers and HVAC technicians.

Stay updated with the latest HVAC technologies, tools, and industry best practices.

Prepare and present technical proposals and progress reports.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).

5-10+ years of experience in HVAC system design and engineering.

Proficient in HVAC design software such as AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP, HAP, TRACE 700, or similar tools.

Strong knowledge of HVAC codes, standards, and regulations (ASHRAE, SMACNA, local building codes).

Experience in energy modeling, load calculations, and system optimization.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Proven project management and leadership abilities.

Certifications such as LEED, CEM, or PE are advantageous.
