Police/Law Elective Teacher - Part time

The Police/Law Elective Teacher is responsible for teaching students foundational knowledge in law enforcement, criminal justice, legal systems, and public safety. The teacher develops and delivers engaging, relevant lessons that prepare students for further education or careers in law, policing, or criminal justice.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver lesson plans covering topics such as criminal law, civil rights, policing procedures, criminal investigations, and court systems.
Use real-world examples, case studies, and role-playing to enhance understanding.
Prepare instructional materials, assignments, and assessments aligned with curriculum objectives.
Promote critical thinking, ethics, and civic awareness through classroom discussions.
Guide students on career paths in law enforcement, legal studies, or public safety.
Organize guest lectures or field visits (e.g., police departments, courts, correctional facilities) when possible.
Evaluate student performance and provide feedback through tests, projects, and participation.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, Law, Political Science, Public Safety, or related field.
Teaching certification or licensure (as required by your education board or institution).
Prior teaching experience or professional background in law enforcement, legal practice, or public safety is preferred.
