The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping staff. This includes assigning duties, inspecting work, maintaining cleanliness standards, and ensuring guest or client satisfaction. The role ensures all hygiene, safety, and facility standards are maintained efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff (room attendants, cleaners, laundry).
Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas for cleanliness and maintenance issues.
Assign tasks and schedules to housekeeping personnel according to workload and priorities.
Train new staff on cleaning procedures, use of equipment, and safety protocols.
Ensure housekeeping supplies and linen stock levels are maintained and requisitioned as needed.
Address guest complaints or service requests promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; diploma in hospitality or housekeeping management is a plus.
2–5 years of experience in housekeeping, including supervisory responsibilities.
Knowledge of housekeeping operations, chemicals, and cleaning equipment.
Experience in hotel, hospital, or facility management environment preferred.
