HSE Officer:
The HSE Officer is responsible for ensuring that workplace practices comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. They monitor operations to minimize risks, conduct training and audits, and promote a safety-first culture. The role aims to prevent accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents by implementing and enforcing company policies and legal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in compliance with local laws and company standards.
Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
Inspect work sites, machinery, and processes to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Lead incident investigations, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
Organize HSE training for employees and contractors.
Monitor and analyze safety performance data and KPIs.
Ensure appropriate PPE is provided and properly used.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all necessary documentation is maintained.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent.
Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in [industry-specific experience].
