An Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supervising electrical equipment, systems, and installations. They ensure that electrical systems meet required specifications, safety standards, and customer needs across various industries such as construction, manufacturing, power generation, and telecommunications.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components
Prepare and review electrical schematics, layouts, and specifications
Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical equipment
Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and compliance checks
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues and failures
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and project teams
Ensure compliance with safety codes and industry standards
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and project updates
Support procurement by specifying electrical components and materials
Stay updated on new technologies and industry trends

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Relevant work experience in electrical design, installation, or maintenance
Familiarity with electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC)
Proficiency in CAD software and electrical design tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
