A Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, and other beverages to customers in a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting. They maintain a clean and welcoming environment, ensure high-quality service, and may also handle light food preparation and cashier duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, teas, and cold beverages
Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and brewing equipment
Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of drinks
Greet customers, take orders, and provide product recommendations
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee station and equipment
Manage stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies
Handle payments, operate the POS system, and issue receipts
Comply with health and safety regulations
Support the team in general café operations and customer service
Create a welcoming atmosphere and promote customer satisfaction
