We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial and cost-related aspects of mechanical systems in our projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimation, contract administration, and budget control for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical services.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for mechanical works, including HVAC, chilled water, fire-fighting, plumbing, and pipework systems.
Analyze technical drawings, specifications, and scope of work to ensure accurate cost estimations.
Track project costs, variations, and budget compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Support in tendering processes, including preparing cost proposals and analyzing subcontractor bids.
Monitor site progress to verify completed works and assist in preparing interim payment applications and final accounts.
Identify and prepare variation orders (VOs) and claims based on changes in project scope or design.
Coordinate with mechanical engineers, site teams, and procurement departments for cost and material tracking.
Review and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations for mechanical components and services.
Ensure compliance with relevant mechanical standards, codes, and project specifications.
Maintain up-to-date documentation and provide cost reports and forecasts to senior management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
Minimum 7 - 10 years of experience in quantity surveying for mechanical systems in construction or MEP projects.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical installation methods.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and QS software (e.g., CostX, Candy, Buildsoft).
Familiarity with contract forms like FIDIC or other industry-standard contracts.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work both on-site and in an office-based environment.
