We are seeking a dedicated Safety Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety standards and procedures. The Safety Engineer will ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations to protect employees, equipment, and the environment. This role involves conducting risk assessments, monitoring safety performance, and promoting a culture of safety across projects and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory standards.
Conduct risk assessments and safety audits on-site and in facilities to identify hazards and recommend mitigation measures.
Monitor workplace activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and prepare detailed investigation reports.
Design and conduct safety training programs and workshops for employees, subcontractors, and management.
Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and management to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety tools.
Maintain accurate safety documentation, including inspection reports, incident logs, and compliance records.
Stay updated on changes in health, safety, and environmental regulations and recommend necessary updates to policies.
Promote a culture of safety through continuous awareness programs and communication campaigns.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
Proven experience (3 - 5 years) as a Safety Engineer or similar role, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or industrial settings.
Strong knowledge of OSHA, NEBOSH, ISO 45001, and other relevant safety standards and regulations.
Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments, safety audits, and accident investigations.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Proficiency in safety management software and MS Office Suite.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, Certified Safety Professional (CSP)) preferred.
