We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Planning Engineer to lead project planning, scheduling, and monitoring activities. The role involves developing comprehensive project schedules, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely project delivery within scope and budget. The Senior Planning Engineer will provide strategic input, risk analysis, and resource planning to optimize project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent software.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather input and define project milestones, deliverables, and critical paths.
Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule and identify deviations, delays, or potential risks.
Prepare progress reports, forecast schedules, and performance analysis for senior management and stakeholders.
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to address scheduling challenges.
Coordinate resource allocation and manage manpower, materials, and equipment planning.
Lead schedule review meetings and ensure alignment between various departments and subcontractors.
Implement and maintain project control procedures to track costs, timelines, and scope changes.
Support project teams in evaluating change requests and their impact on the schedule.
Mentor junior planners and provide guidance on best practices and project management methodologies.
Ensure compliance with contract requirements, company policies, and industry standards related to project planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and other planning and scheduling software.
Strong understanding of project management principles, critical path method (CPM), and earned value management (EVM).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and leadership abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
