Gastroenterology Specialist
Job Location : Doha, Qatar
Job Responsibilities :
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients presenting with gastrointestinal symptoms and disorders.
• Perform diagnostic procedures, including endoscopies, colonoscopies, and biopsies, as necessary.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for various gastrointestinal conditions, such as inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and gastrointestinal cancers.
• Monitor and manage ongoing treatment regimens, adjusting as needed based on patient progress and feedback.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including surgeons, radiologists, and primary care physicians, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about gastrointestinal health, treatment options, and lifestyle changes to improve outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Stay current with advancements in gastroenterology through continued education and professional development.
• Participate in research and clinical trials related to gastroenterology, if applicable.
Job Knowledge & Skills
• Proven experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders.
• Proficiency in performing endoscopic procedures and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach to care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of current gastroenterology research and emerging treatment options.
• Experience in academic or clinical research is an advantage.
Job Experience :
• Minimum of 3-5 years of Gastroenterology Experience
• Minimum 1 year in GCC (preferred)
