The Inventory Controller is responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, overseeing inventory movements, and ensuring materials or products are available as needed. The role helps optimize stock holding, prevent shortages or overstocking, and support smooth operations across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage stock levels across all locations (warehouse, production floor, retail, etc.).
Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with system records.
Maintain accurate records of stock movements in ERP or inventory management systems.
Analyze inventory data to identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess items.
Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Track and document incoming and outgoing goods, deliveries, and returns.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies or stock variances.
Ensure compliance with inventory procedures, safety, and company policies.
Implement and support cycle counting, FIFO/LIFO, and inventory best practices.
Assist with year-end stock takes and audits (internal or external).
