The MEP Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and equipment related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for construction and infrastructure projects. This role ensures timely and cost-effective procurement that aligns with technical specifications and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze MEP material and equipment requirements from engineering and site teams.
Source qualified suppliers, request quotations, and evaluate offers based on price, quality, and delivery time.
Negotiate terms and finalize purchase orders or contracts with suppliers.
Ensure purchased materials meet technical and quality standards as per project specifications.
Track and follow up on order deliveries, and coordinate with logistics and stores teams.
Maintain updated procurement records, supplier database, and price lists.
Coordinate with MEP engineers, consultants, and project managers to ensure alignment on technical needs.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
Additional certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CIPS) is a plus.
Engineering Graduates with procurement experience in MEP are highly preferred.
4 - 6 years of relevant experience in MEP procurement within construction or contracting companies.
Familiarity with MEP systems and materials, BOQ, technical drawings, and specifications.
Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or ERP systems).
