A Land Surveyor is responsible for making precise measurements to determine property boundaries, topography, and layouts for construction and infrastructure projects. They collect, analyze, and document data to ensure that engineering and construction work aligns with design plans and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct field surveys using GPS, Total Station, Theodolites, and other surveying tools
Establish control points and reference markers for construction sites
Interpret and analyze survey data for use in maps, plans, and reports
Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys
Work closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure accuracy
Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations
Identify potential boundary or zoning discrepancies and report findings
Maintain accurate field records and documentation
Set out levels, alignments, and reference points on construction projects
Ensure compliance with local land laws, safety, and environmental standards
