As a General Lawyer at Paris Group UAE, you will provide comprehensive legal support across various business divisions, including retail, hospitality, and FMCG. Your primary responsibility will be to safeguard the company's interests by ensuring compliance with UAE laws, drafting and reviewing contracts, and representing the company in legal matters. Fluency in Arabic is essential for effective communication with local authorities and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert legal advice and guidance on corporate, commercial, labor, and regulatory matters relevant to the company’s operations in the UAE.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the company’s interests.
Ensure compliance with UAE laws and regulations across all business functions.
Manage and coordinate legal disputes, claims, and litigation; liaise with external legal counsel as needed.
Conduct thorough legal research and stay updated on changes in laws that affect the company.
Liaise with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders, particularly in Arabic-speaking contexts.
Assist in risk management by identifying potential legal risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
Maintain accurate legal documentation and records in line with company policies and legal standards.
Support internal departments with legal input for various business initiatives and projects.
Uphold confidentiality and handle sensitive legal matters professionally
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); LLM or equivalent postgraduate qualification is a plus.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of legal experience, preferably in a corporate or commercial setting.
Licensing: Valid UAE legal practice license or eligibility to obtain one.
Language Skills: Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) is mandatory; proficiency in English is highly desirable.
