We are urgently seeking a highly skilled Rheumatology Consultant to join a reputable healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Rheumatology Consultant provides expert diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with autoimmune and musculoskeletal disorders, including arthritis and connective tissue diseases. The consultant leads in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and contributes to the education and development of junior staff and the continuous improvement of rheumatology services.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide specialized consultation and management of patients with rheumatic and autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, vasculitis, and gout.

Conduct thorough clinical assessments, review patient history, and perform relevant physical examinations.

Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests including blood tests, imaging studies, and specialized autoimmune panels.

Develop individualized treatment and management plans using pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic approaches.

Monitor patient progress, adjust therapies, and manage potential treatment side effects.

Collaborate closely with other specialists such as orthopedic surgeons, nephrologists, and physiotherapists to provide comprehensive multidisciplinary care.

Educate patients and families regarding disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.

Participate in departmental meetings, case discussions, and hospital committees to support continuous quality improvement.

Supervise and mentor junior doctors, residents, and allied health professionals.

Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential patient medical records in compliance with hospital and legal standards.

Ensure adherence to medical ethics, professional standards, and local health authority regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree from a recognized medical school.

Specialization: Fellowship or Board Certification in Rheumatology.

Licensure: Valid license or eligibility to practice as a Rheumatology Consultant in [country/region].

Experience: Minimum of [5–8 years] post-specialization experience in rheumatology practice, preferably in a tertiary care or hospital setting.
