Qualification Level:
MBBS or equivalent medical degree
Postgraduate specialization in Pathology (MD, FCPS, or equivalent)
Additional certifications or fellowships in histopathology are a plus

Experience:
Minimum 5–10 years of experience in histopathology
Prior experience in clinical diagnostics, research, or academic supervision preferred
Experience managing or mentoring junior pathologists and lab technicians is an advantage

Responsibilities:
Examine and interpret tissue samples and biopsy specimens to diagnose diseases.
Prepare detailed pathology reports and communicate findings to clinicians.
Supervise histopathology laboratory operations, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
Mentor and train junior pathologists, residents, and lab technicians.
Collaborate on clinical research projects and publications.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements for laboratory practice.
Participate in tumor boards or multidisciplinary clinical meetings as required.

Requirements:
Expertise in tissue processing, staining, immunohistochemistry, and microscopy.
Strong analytical and diagnostic abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and lead a team.
Knowledge of laboratory information systems (LIS) and reporting standards.
Commitment to continuous learning and medical research.
