Essential Duties & Responsibilities by Dimensions:

A. Shareholder & Financial:
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational effectiveness, driving continuous improvements to meet and exceed service level agreements (SLAs).
Promote cost consciousness and efficiency and enhance productivity, to minimise cost, avoid waste, and optimise benefits for the bank.
Act within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent and delegate authority to the respective staff and monitor exercise of the same.
Demonstrate clear understanding of the important factors behind the bank's financial & non-financial performance.

B. Customer (Internal & External):

Support in managing deal pipelines by ensuring collaboration between Operations, Sales, and GTB to drive revenue through strategic and operational efforts.
Enhance SCF platform functionalities by working closely with IT teams and vendors, ensuring system configurations meet evolving operational and client requirements.
Stay updated on market trends and competitor offerings, leveraging insights to drive operational innovation and maintain a competitive edge in SCF services.
Lead cross-functional collaborations with Sales, Risk, Compliance, and IT to ensure seamless execution of SCF transactions and alignment with strategic goals.
Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments/units to achieve improvements in turn-around time.
Build and maintain strong/effective relationships with related departments/units to achieve the Group’s objectives.
Provide timely/accurate data to external/internal Auditors, Compliance, Financial Control and Risk when required.

C. Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):

Oversee end-to-end SCF operations, ensuring efficient handling of Payables Finance (PF)/Receivables Discounting (RD) portfolios, from product set-up to transaction reconciliation, meeting stringent operational standards.
Drive process innovation by implementing automation solutions and optimizing workflows to enhance operational efficiency and scalability in SCF transactions.
Oversee the resolution of discrepancies in PF/RD transactions, managing escalations and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders for timely resolutions.
Lead the operations and technical integration of SCF products into operations, driving utilization and taking proactive actions when necessary.
Develop risk management frameworks, conducting regular reviews to identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines.
Support operational risk mitigation strategies by proactively identifying potential risks in transaction processing and implementing preventive measures.
Bring in significant leadership to the division/department, ensuring that effective controls and resources are available to manage and control work volumes.
Oversee recruitment, provide motivation, guidance to employees and reinforce high standards concerning performance, and adherence to the Bank’s values and mission.

Education/Experience Requirements:
Education:
Post Graduation: MBA (Master of Business Administration) /PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) / MSc (Master of Science) / CPA (Certified Public Account) /CA (Chartered Accountant)
Preferred certifications include the Certificate in Supply Chain Finance (CSCF) from LIBF, the Global Trade Certificate (GTC) from the ICC, the Certificate in International Trade and Finance from LSEG, and the Trade Finance Professional Certification (TFP) from ICC, highlighting SCF expertise

Experience:

Minimum of 8 years of professional experience within GCC or a global banking environment, with at least 6-7 years of experience in Trade/SCF managerial role
Strong background in Global Transaction Banking (GTB) and Trade Finance Operations is preferred
Proven expertise in SCF operations, including analyzing trade documents and transactions, overseeing day-to-day trade operations, and ensuring efficient workflow
Experience in managing and improving SCF processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance in documentation, transaction processing, and operational management
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage high-value SCF transactions, delivering operational efficiency while meeting client service expectations
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to handle complex client requirements and operational challenges in a dynamic banking environment
