Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

Interpret and report on imaging studies including X-ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, and Fluoroscopy.

Perform image-guided interventional procedures (if applicable), such as biopsies, drainages, and injections.

Communicate findings clearly to referring physicians and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.

Ensure timely reporting and follow-up of urgent or unexpected findings.

Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient documentation according to DHA standards.

Quality & Safety:

Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles.

Participate in departmental audits, peer reviews, and quality assurance programs.

Contribute to developing clinical guidelines, imaging protocols, and workflow improvements.

Patient Care & Communication:

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care with consideration for cultural sensitivities.

Explain procedures and imaging findings to patients when required.

Collaborate closely with technologists, nurses, and other clinical staff.

Qualifications & Licensing:

Essential Qualifications:

Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).

Completed specialist training in Radiology (e.g., FRCR, American Board, Royal College fellowship, CCT, or equivalent).

Minimum 5–8 years post-specialty qualification experience (varies by hospital).

Licensing Requirements (Dubai):

Must meet DHA consultant criteria (approved qualifications + required years of experience).

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Life Support certifications may be required.

Skills & Competencies:

High proficiency in cross-sectional imaging (CT/MRI).

Strong diagnostic accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to handle high imaging volumes while maintaining quality.

Effective communication with multicultural teams.

Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving ability.

Familiarity with RIS/PACS systems and digital reporting.
