Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise all stages of the trailer and tanker manufacturing process including steel fabrication, welding, painting, final assembly, and testing.
• Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet delivery targets in coordination with the Manufacturing Manager.
• Analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained in coordination with the QA/QC department and address non-conformities promptly.
• Mentor and guide junior staff and technicians, fostering continuous improvement and technical development.
• Coordinate with the design, procurement, and maintenance departments to ensure efficient resource utilization.
• Lead cost-reduction initiatives through process innovation, scrap reduction, and better workflow management.
• Support the implementation of ERP and digital systems for production monitoring and reporting.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on production performance, downtime, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) to management.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 6+ years of experience in a production engineering role, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory capacity within the heavy vehicles/trailers/tankers industry.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing equipment, welding standards, materials, and production flow.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
• Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
