We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design & Estimation Engineer with expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems. The role involves supporting presales and technical teams through designs, cost estimations, BOQs, and technical proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Strong background in technical sales support, solution design, and full presales cycle, including BOQ preparation and tender documentation.
- Familiarity with mechanical systems integration, HVAC coordination, and data centre projects is a plus.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of other design tools (e.g., Revit, HAP, PipeFlow) is an advantage.
- In-depth understanding of ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, and local mechanical codes.
- Strong analytical skills for pricing strategy and cost optimisation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client engagement skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
Technical Proposal Development
- Prepare comprehensive technical proposals, BOQs, and compliance documents for tenders and client requirements.
Design & Estimation
- Develop mechanical designs (HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting) and perform accurate cost estimation, including manpower and material calculations.
Pricing & Cost Optimisation
- Support pricing strategies and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining compliance and quality standards.
Client Engagement.
-Participate in client meetings, deliver presentations, and provide technical clarifications during presales and tender stages.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with design teams, project managers, and vendors to ensure alignment on technical and commercial aspects.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure all designs and proposals adhere to IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and local regulations.
Market & Technology Awareness
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in LV systems, renewable energy, and related fields.
